The family and friends of Tom & Rachel Meadows have established annual scholarships in their memory for graduating seniors from Dadeville High School, Horseshoe Bend High School, Reeltown High School and Benjamin Russell High School.

This scholarship fund is administered by the Community Foundation of East Alabama.
To be eligible for consideration of this scholarship, a student must:

Be an average student.

Must be on track to graduate from Dadeville, Horseshoe Bend or Reeltown High School.

Rachel Meadows Scholarship: Be intent on majoring in music or in a ministry field

Tom Meadows Scholarship: Be intent on majoring in forestry or in an agricultural field

Submit an application.

Submit an example of your work, projects or performances. (Via mail, dvd or link).

Each scholarship is a one-time award and prior recipients are not eligible for additional awards.year there will be two scholarships, one for the Tom Meadows Scholarship and one from the Rachel Meadows Scholarship, given in the amount of $1,000.00 (one thousand dollars) each and the recipient will be known as a Tom Meadows Scholar and a Rachel Meadows Scholar.

AIM Career & Technical Scholarship

The AIM Career & Technical Scholarship is funded by Meadows Farm LLC. and the generosity of friends and family of the Meadows Family.
Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.
Eligibility Criteria:

Must have attended a school or home-schooled within Tallapoosa County.

Have completed high school (or earned a high school equivalency credential)
-
Will be enrolled in eligible program in Fall 2021
-
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program (up to 2 years) at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States
-
Demonstrated critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
-
Demonstrated perseverance in overcoming adversity
-
Be under the age of 30

Be a United States citizen

Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies. All scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.
